We welcome and encourage volunteers to get involved here at Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies!
We have a variety of opportunities for volunteers to give their time and expertise at any of our four clinics and you will be an important part of a team that is dedicated to providing high quality therapy for all kids regardless of their ability to pay.
Space in our volunteer program is limited and at this time we are not accepting new volunteer applications for General Volunteers and Fieldwork Students. We will update this page as soon as we are able to begin accepting applications. Thank you for your understanding.
Applications for volunteers who are interested in helping with Fundraising/Procurement or Volunteer Handy Man (or Lady) will still be accepted. Please see the information and links below.
- General Volunteers and those looking to gain exposure in the field of Occupational/Physical Therapy: Duties typically include general cleaning and organizing; office tasks such as copying, mailings; entertaining siblings of our clients while our clients are in therapy; assisting the therapists with equipment set up and take down; assisting the therapists with misc. projects. We will work hard to find a niche that works well for you. Our volunteer program is not an internship, however, we welcome the opportunity to provide information and answer questions as the therapists caseload allows. Not accepting applications at this time.
- Fieldwork Students: We accept PT and OT fieldwork students who are attending accredited schools. Not accepting applications at this time.
- Volunteer Handy Man (or Lady): Our nonprofit pediatric therapy clinics provide over 1100 therapy visits per month. That is a lot of kid action and our clinics get a lot of wear and tear! We are looking for a general handyman (or lady) to help us keep our clinics in good repair. Our clinics in Oregon City and northeast Portland get the most use. We anticipate a commitment of approximately four hours every week or two. We would compile an ongoing list of things to do and we would provide, or reimburse you for all needed supplies.
- Volunteer Procurement Person: We are in need of an outgoing and organized volunteer who would be responsible for contacting local businesses about making donations of goods for our clinics. Local businesses are often very willing to help out, but the process of contacting them, filling out their paperwork, picking up the items and making sure they get the recognition and thanks that they deserve often takes more time than our staff can spare. You would be an important part of our team and would work directly with our management team to further our mission of serving all kids.
To apply, download and print our volunteer Packet and please mail or fax it to our office in Oregon City. Once we receive the complete packet, Nora Lane, our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you. You are welcome to email Nora at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to working together to help kids!
